Charging Systems
When your vintage motorcycle lights begin to dim, and the electric starter won’t kick over, the battery is the first place to check. If the battery is good though, and still won’t hold a charge, the fault is likely with the stator (generator) or the regulator/rectifier. At the first sign of battery drain, perform a voltage check on the stator (follow your repair manual guidelines).
If all is well, perform your manual’s suggested regulator/rectifier tests. Odds are, the problem is one, or both, of these components. We stock stators for Kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki and Yamaha, including bikes like the KZ1000, CB750, CB350, XS650, GL1000, ZX1100. We also carry new regulator/rectifiers for vintage motorcycles like the CB650, Z1, VMAX, GL1100, XS400, KZ750 and many more.
Shop our selection of charging systems for your vintage or modern classic motorcycle. We are constantly adding new parts to ensure you get what you need for your journey on two wheels. Ride Fast. Live Well.
