Kickstart
Kickstarting is a manual method of mechanically starting your motorcycle without the use of an electric starter. The kickstart pedal is connected to the engine’s crankshaft. By pushing down on the ratcheting kickstart pedal with one foot, the crankshaft is forced to rotate, which pushes the piston up against the piston head. This creates pressure, and combined with fuel, air and sparks in the bore, the motorcycle starts and stays on.
