Despite what you've been told, that little 300lb gasoline powered love machine of yours isn't giving you all she's got... If you're still running the stock Keihin carbs that is. Don't get us wrong, we build plenty of bikes with them and they get the job done, but if you're after twist-n-rip performance and simplicity, there's simply no better solution for carburetion on these old twins.

The two biggest advantages are pretty basic, but they make a huge difference when getting that pavement pounder tweaked and geaked for Friday night street brawls & weekend track visits. First and probably most important, is the fact that they're controlled directly by cables vs. a vacuum created by cable movement. One of the biggest problems with the stock Keihin carbs is the slides stick, and with these bad-boys you can kiss that goodbye! Add to that the performance increase in top-end, better throttle response, and quicker starts, and the VM32 conversion tops the list of "must haves" for CB450 & 500T owners.

A couple of notes though.. This kit was specifically designed for CB450s & CB500Ts. The VM32 was always the "go-to" carbs for the 450/500, but fitting these puppies always created clearance issues and ended in compromise of setup. So this kit features specially designed Billet Manifolds with Heavy Duty Adapters to position the carburetors just right and alleviate clearance issues. Unlike the Mikuni specific carb boots, these manifolds allow for smooth ample airflow, and feature built-in tuning ports to make syncing a breeze!

And as for the cable, this kit contains a 2-1 universal cable (Fitment & Soldering Required) that can be customized for your control setup. Part OEM cable, part Mikuni Universal Cable, this setup allows you to install to the throttle assembly, then simply measure, cut, & solder the fittings in place for an ideal length to the carbs themselves.

You can also use stock or other aftermarket cables & throttle assemblies; just measure, cut, and apply new drums/fittings and you are good to go! If you have any questions, just drop us a line prior to your order and we'll make sure you get what you need!
